Contrasting cities, they offer a huge range of year round attractions: Liverpool's Albert Dock is a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to the Tate Liverpool art gallery, the International Slavery Museum and the Beatles Story. Chester boasts Roman city walls, lovely riverside terraces, designer shopping and a world famous zoo. Sandy beaches lie 6 miles away at West Kirby, also site of a marine lake for windsurfing and the Wirral Country Park provides miles of scenic walking and cycling, whilst further afield, Snowdonia and the Lake District make great day trips.
