Famous resorts are within easy reach: Minehead for shopping, golf, mountain bike hire and 'Aquasplash'; Porlock, popular with riders; pretty Porlock Weir with its small harbour, inns and quaint cottages; and Lynton and Lynmouth, connected by a unique cliff railway. Exmoor, home to herds of red deer and 'Doone country', is wonderful for walkers and riders with miles of foot and cycle paths to enjoy, whilst Tropiquaria animal and adventure park, the West Somerset Steam Railway (with a station at Watchet), N.T. properties including Dunster Castle, and even landrover 'safaris' across the moors are among a host of easily accessible attractions.
